We have an exciting week ahead! Tomorrow we are making spiders and have a guest called the 'Bat Man' from the University coming to teach us about bats. On Wednesday we will paint our spiders. Thursday we get to make our cat toys for the Humane Society. Then on Friday we are going to make applesauce and have a visit from Kristin Folk of the Regina Humane Society. Wow! Tomorrow is an exciting day at Grant Road. We are celebrating Education Week with a special visit from John Chick of the Saskatchewan Roughriders! Please dress in green and white.
Tomorrow night is also the Halloween Dance from 6:30-8:30pm. This is a fun event put on by our Grant Road School Parent Association. All are welcome to attend!
All week we are collecting clean, gently used scarves, mitts, toques and jackets to support Geroy Simon's Coats For Kids program. This program provides these winter necessities to students in our Regina community who may not otherwise have access to them.
Remember, we are still collecting socks with missing partners and empty toilet paper rolls to make toys for the cats at the Regina Humane Society. We welcome these items until October 31, when we plan to make the toys. Thank you for all your donations so far!
Here are some cool videos we watched about reptiles:
